Is your tree diseased, dying, dangerous or simply in the wrong place? Tree removal is the process of cutting down a tree and removing all the waste including the logs, branches and brushwood. Our team always take the utmost care over preserving the remaining plants and features in your garden.
Pruning is the trimming of any part of a tree or bush usually for aesthetic reasons. You may want to achieve an even balance or shape of a tree while minimising damage or infection.
Pollarding is a method of pruning where all the smaller branches are removed, often leaving the trunk and larger branches in place to retain some shape. You will find the regrowth from these larger branches will often need re-pollarding every 3-5 years. We look forward to seeing you again!
This is a process in which the lower branches of a tree are removed and thereby the remaining branches and leaves, otherwise known as the crown or canopy, are lifted. It increases the clear space below the foliage of the tree. We often carry this out so more light can be let in under the tree where shading is a problem in a customer’s garden.
By removing selected branches from the whole crown the density of the tree is reduced. While the size and shape remain the same, it reduces the crown resistance to strong winds as well as stress on the tree. This practice would only be carried out on mature trees.
The main reason people tend to reduce the overall height of a tree is to gain more light in their garden or if a tree has become too big for the garden it is situated in. The crown of a tree is reduced while still keeping the shape of the tree where possible. By reducing the height of the tree it is less likely to be affected by strong winds and cause damage.
